2016 Pack 213 Popcorn Sales

Popcorn Sales is the only fundraising activity Pack 213 does and this activity is used to fund all the Pack Fun (Pinewood Derby, Picnics, Blue & Gold Banquet, Polar Cubs Bus). Scouts receive 10% of their sales to be used for their family's camping fees. For example, $300 is sales gives you $30 for camping making Polar Cub Camp free to the scout.

  • Two scouts and one (or two) parents per 1-hour time slot. Beth Weiskopf baweiskopf@yahoo.com will coordinate filling all time slots through Sign-Up Genius. Once set up, we will email a link.

  • Sales will be allocated to scouts based on total sales divided by total time slots. If there are $2,000 in store sales and 40-time slots, each scout will receive a credit for $50 in sales. If a scout works two slots, he will receive a credit for $100. In 2015, each time slot was worth $60.

  • Please sign up for only 2 slots to begin with when you receive the notification in the email. This will give everyone an opportunity to sell at the stores. There will be additional emails going out as we need more boys to fill sale positions.

 

Scout Sales:

 The first popcorn will be here the week of Sept 19th and will be available for distribution the following dates. This popcorn will be used for both store sales and scout sales. More popcorn can/will be ordered as needs arise. Scout sales start Friday, September 23rd at 5pm. As in past years, you can pick up popcorn for door-to-door sales. We ask that you be mindful of how much your scout can sell and know you can pick up extra popcorn throughout the sale. We want to make sure we have enough popcorn for everyone to sell but we don't want to pay a restocking fee at the end of popcorn.

There will be a form to fill out when requesting to check in/return popcorn. Parents must verify the numbers and sign the form before departing. Everyone will receive a copy of the form to keep for their records.

 

New this year you can turn in partial payments as you sell popcorn. A receipt for the money will be given to you and a copy kept by the popcorn coordinator.

 

Webelos- please remember any popcorn funds you have left this year will go with you to Boy Scouts when you crossover at the Blue and Gold. Boys Scouts is pay as you go and they camp regularly.
